Silicon Valley Shakespeare is “flipping the script” with our November ShakesPod episode, featuring gender-swapped performances.

We are accepting monologue submissions from actors of ALL genders performing pieces they might not traditionally be cast in but definitely **SHOULD** be!

Deadline to send us your audio monologue and additional required assets is Sunday, November 17th.

To submit a monologue, click the SUBMIT button and email the following to ShakesPod Host Doll Piccotto.

  • Monologue Audio File (3 minutes or less)

    • State your name and the title of your selected piece before beginning your monologue, such as, “Hello, my name is Charles Dickens and I am playing the role of Lady Macbeth from Act 5, Scene I of Macbeth.

This episode of Silicon Valley Shakespeare's ShakesPod podcast examines what education and schooling were like around William Shakespeare's time. We also discuss how many believe Shakespeare could not have written his plays because no real evidence exists about his academic life.
