Donors Circle

Enhance your SVS experience by joining our Donors Circle! Patrons in our Donors Circle receive numerous exclusive perks all season long, and all donations are 100% tax deductible. From ticket discounts (combinable with our many other discounted tickets, such as Senior and Educator discounts), to early-seating entry and Royal Seating, benefits vary by level, so browse the opportunities and donate today to be automatically integrated into SVS’ inner Circle.  

Levels and Benefits

Donations made October 1, 2024–September 30, 2025 count toward benefits for programs taking place January 1-December 31, 2025.

  • Early-seating entry at Sanborn Park productions: Access to a special Donors Circle queue at the park for early entry 15 minutes before the house opens to the general public • 20% ticket discount at Sanborn Park: Discount code will be emailed to you once you qualify for Donors Circle benefits • Complimentary ticket insurance: Free exchange within the same season (regularly $3 per ticket)

How It Works

Donate $150 or more to automatically receive Donors Circle perks. Your donations continue to add up throughout the year, accumulating toward higher Donors Circle tiers and additional benefits. 

All qualifying donations made Oct 1 - Sept 30 accrue toward benefits for artistic programs held Jan 1 - Dec 31. 

Qualifying donations include gifts made directly to SVS and through employee-giving programs where the donation is directly attributed to you. Also included are donations during online ticket sale, check and credit card donations at performances (cash donations are not trackable). We greatly appreciate corporate matching of gifts and donations made through third parties, third-party fundraisers, or shopping fundraisers (such as AmazonSmile), but they are not included as of Sept 30, 2021. 

What do donations fund?

  • $150 Family of four enjoys FREE Shakespeare in Willow Street Park

  • $300 1 actor performs in our FREE Shakespeare in the Park productions

  • $400 Full scholarship for 1 child to attend SVS’ Summer Shakespeare Camp

  • $500 1 ASL-interpreter for 1 performance

  • $2,000 Rehearsal venue rental

  • $6,000 ASL interpretation for all 4 mainstage productions each season

Annual Fund

Supports SVS’s everyday operations, letting us provide access to innovative, high-quality classics for the broadest possible audiences, many of whom typically can’t afford theatre. Your support helps provide:

  • All performances, all year, free for kids 17 and under.

  • All Shakespeare in the Park performances in San José free for everyone.

  • All summer repertory performances at Sanborn Park at very affordable prices.
